Bardzo rzadka choroba - Śluzak rzekomy otrzewnej

Ten post jest napisany w języku angielskim z nadzieją że trafi do szerszego grona odbiorców – również poza granicami Polski.

At the beginning of 2010, my brother had to has his first hospital operation. He was operated and they have got out of him a very big tumor which was like a ”little calf” and it weight was 25 kg! I am not exaggerating – it was the real weight of this huge tumor. It crushes him from inside and making my brother impossible to breathe. The operation was performed on the last day, saving him…

I've decided to wrote about my brother’s illness because now he has changes (cysts) which renews - so it must be periodically and regularly removed surgically, and doctors don’t know how to treat it! Diagnosis was: Pseudomyxoma peritonei.

One from the problems is that, nobody know if it the right diagnosis!
Let me describe his situation in details and present hoapital information card. We hope, that someone of you experienced a similar story or maybe have the same situation as my brother, and would be willing to share information that would can help us. The worst is ignorance what to and who to ask. Even small information or advice, may be important to his health.

Underneath I attach a scan of Hospital information card with its translation. If the translation is inaccurate, I apologize for that. Medical language is very hard to translate but I hope it turns out to be understandable (unfortunately I had to leave untranslated fragments due to not finding their equivalents in English. But if someone need to have better translation i can do what my best in order to find it).
